Culinary Summer Camp


Humanity’s Kitchen is offering In Person classes in New Castle County and Virtual classes in Kent/Sussex County. The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities for students with disabilities, finishing 8th grade and in grades 9-11, ages 14 to 22 or those that are in the 18-22 Educational Program, to engage in career exploration in the culinary arts field during summer vacation from school. 

The program is offered free of charge to students in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties.

Students who have previously attended any of our culinary classes whether in person or online cannot apply. This class is open to new students who have never attended.

The goal of the program is to provide students living in the state of Delaware career exploration in the field of Culinary Arts. The objective of the program is to increase the students’ knowledge about culinary arts and career opportunities in this field.

Humanity’s Kitchen is an approved Trade School through the Delaware Department of Education.

  • ServSafe Food Handler Certificate

Culinary Arts Program


  • Three weeks Culinary Training

  • Food card will be mailed each week for Virtual Students to purchase food items.

  • Each student receives a $100 stipend for successful completion

  • Each student receives a culinary knife & cutting board for successful completion.

  • Chef Coat, Hat, & Aprons

New Castle County — In Person
Monday-Thursday 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Kent & Sussex County — Virtual Only
Monday-Thursday 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

You can only attend the class that is located in your county.

Middletown/Odessa/Townsend– Can do Virtual or Hybrid Classes
We Do Not Provide Transportation

Spaces are very limited and on a first come first served basis as long as you qualify for the program.
